In life, I believe we will all face our own garden of Gethsemane. Jesus faced His with such agony, knowing in His heart that His Father’s plan must be cared out. But it didn’t stop Him from asking three times if there was another way, but ended His prayer, that His Father’s will be done. Some of you have faced your garden, while others have not. There will be agony, a complete surrendering of your soul, so the Father’s will, will be done in your life. You may not sweat drops of blood as Christ did, but you’ll probably think you’ll get an ulcer from the experience. Wrestling with God is not a bad thing, because you are in the midst of His spirit seeking direction or an answer. At an appointed time in our life, we are going to have to do something we don’t want to do, but God’s plan must be carried out. We are not to live our lives for the sake of self, but for the sake of Christ.
