Mohandas Gandhi once said, “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” When I first read that quote, I felt that it had a sense of harshness, but it was truth. The biggest stumbling block in Christianity is Christians. We don’t serve our Lord with the attitude of laying down our life for Him. It’s amazing that in non-Christian religions, the belief systems are so strong, that followers are willing to die for what they believe to be true. The shocking thing is, we know what is true. The Bible says to walk in the Spirit and live by the Spirit. We have to surrender ourselves to the power of the Holy Spirit to allow the Lord to carry out His plan for the world in us. If you confess to being a Christian, are you acting Christ-like? The moment you get saved you are still in the learning process (as long as you're reading your Bible and listening to sound teaching) and the Lord understands that. Jesus said to pick up your cross and follow Him. We are to die daily and live for Him each day. Yes, it is a learning process, but allow yourself to grow in Christ. Start by extending your hand to help others as this is one way become a vessel in which 'living waters flow' as Christ commands us to be.
We are to carry the gospel to all ends of the Earth, instead we are allowing false religions to come into America and change the face of a nation that was once, a nation under God.
